Anesthesiologists rarely encounter patients in their practice in whom tracheal intubation is either extremely difficult or impossible. A “can’t intubate, can’t ventilate" situations are among the most terrifying faced in anesthetic practiceSeveral methods and protocols have been developed over time to counter this dreadful emergency condition. Use of laryngeal mask airway (LMA) in this scenario is one of the several techniques used to overcome this problem. We report a case of failed endotracheal intubation (ETT) in a full term unbooked pregnant patient coming to the OR of Armed Forces Hospital Sharurah (AFHS), Saudi Arabia for emergency lower segment caesarean section (LSCS).
