Abstract

A 25-year-old female reported to outpatient department of surgery, CombinedMilitary Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi, withcomplaints of painful swelling of right jaw since2 years. Theswelling progressively increased insize below the body of right mandible. Therewas no family history of any tumorpresentation. There was history of recurrentundisplaced fractures of the ribs. Onexamination, she was fully oriented andconscious, lying comfortably on the bed, herblood pressure was 130/90 mm of Hg, pulse: 92beats / minute and respiratory rate 20 breaths / minute.External local examination revealed largemass with irregular borders on body of right lower mandible. Right sub mandibular lymphnodes were palpable. Intra oral examinationrevealed a firm growth from midline toretromolar area, involving buccal sulcus,causing displacement of surounding teeth and distortion of the palatoglossal and palatopharyngeal arches. All the cranial nerves were found intact.
